Merfolk Mead is proud to announce that we won a Gold Medal in the Fruit Mead category at the 2025 All Canadian Wine Championships!
Judged by a panel of expert sommeliers, writers, and wine educators, the competition is Canada’s oldest national wine and mead event. All entries are blind-tasted to ensure fairness, and this year we stood out among 17 other meaderies in our category.
Our winning mead, Blue Ambrosia (Session-Style), is light and vibrant crafted with Newfoundland blueberries, bergamot black tea and a touch of vanilla. At just 7% ABV it’s fragrant, refreshing, and bursting with blueberry flavour. We were honoured to represent Newfoundland and Labrador on the national stage with a mead that captures the spirit of our land and sea.
